Refund policy

Return Window

We offer a 14-day return request window from the date of delivery. Return requests must be submitted in writing within this period.

Condition of Items

To be eligible for any return or exchange, items must be:

    •    In new, unused condition

    •    Free of wear, playing, tuning, powder application, or handling marks

    •    In original packaging with all materials intact

Any instrument that has been played, tuned, or shows signs of use (including powder application) is classified as USED and is not eligible for a refund.

Final Sale & Non-Returnable Items

Due to their fragile nature, the following items are FINAL SALE once shipped and not eligible for return or refund, except in the case of verified shipping damage approved through a carrier insurance claim:

    •    Tablas (dayan and bayan)

    •    Sitars, tanpuras, and other gourd-based instruments

    •    Scale changer harmoniums

    •    Custom or special-order instruments

Cosmetic Variations

Natural wood instruments may exhibit:

    •    Grain variations

    •    Hairline marks

    •    Cosmetic surface characteristics

These do not affect sound or structural integrity and are not considered defects.

Shipping Damage Claims

If damage is suspected during shipping:

    •    The customer must notify us immediately upon delivery

    •    All original packaging (internal and external) must be retained

    •    The instrument and packaging must be available for inspection

Refunds or replacements are not issued until the shipping insurance claim is resolved.

Failure to retain packaging voids claim eligibility.

Refund Processing Fees

All payment processing fees are non-refundable, including:

    •    Credit card fees (typically 3–5%)

    •    Shop Pay fees (additional 6%)

These fees apply whether or not the item has shipped.

Restocking Fee

Approved returns (where applicable) are subject to a 25% restocking fee, deducted from the refundable amount.

Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback while a return request, exchange, concession, or shipping damage claim is in progress is considered a withdrawal from the merchant resolution process.

Once a chargeback is filed, alternative remedies may no longer be available.
