Riyaaz Music Shop proudly presents an intimate evening of Indian music featuring Anol Chatterjee on Vocal and Sandip Ghosh on Tabla as part of the Riyaaz Concert Series.
Experience a rich and varied performance of Hindustani classical and light classical vocal music, including thumri and bhajan, accompanied by the intricate rhythms and dynamic energy of tabla.
Designed to bring audiences closer to the artists and the music, the Riyaaz Concert Series offers an intimate concert experience in a setting where every nuance can be heard and appreciated.
About Anol Chatterjee
Anol Chatterjee is a distinguished Hindustani classical vocalist and a prime disciple of Guru Padmabhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. An acclaimed performer, composer, music director, and educator, he has appeared at prestigious festivals and concert series throughout India and has toured extensively across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
Anol is an A-Grade Artiste of All India Radio, an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and a former scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy. His honors include the Aditya Birla Kala Kiran Puraskar, the Shrutinandan Puraskar, and the Government of India’s National Scholarship for Young Artistes.
He currently serves as Acting Principal of Shrutinandan in Kolkata and shares his knowledge with students worldwide through international workshops and a thriving online music community.
