Brass is the standard metal for the baya drum. The bass, tones, and resonance that you get from brass are far superior to a baya which is made from steel. Our brass bayas are nickel plated for a long lasting shiny and elegant look. Brass bayas which are 3 KG or heavier come with a hammered design which is created by hand. The Baya and Daya are both of superior quality.
The Tabla set includes a solid, heavy, durable ring set and wood covers with padding on the underside to protect the drumskin. Also included is a heavy tuning hammer, 3 wooden baya tuning pegs, 1 Riyaaz branded souvenier baya tuning peg, and a durable heavy duty padded carrying bag. ($150 value)
